"Mindfulness and Mediation"





Susan Glogovac, Ph.D., is a mediation practioner in the areas of restorative justice/victim-offender reconciliation, and family and civil mediations.  She is an Emerita Professor of Psychology at CSULB who began her mediation practice more than 20 years ago mediating faculty-student cases.  She has been practicing mindfulness for over 18 years, and has facilitated meditation groups for the past 9 years. She has extensive training in mindfulness, mediation, conflict resolution, and Nonviolent Communication, all of which inform her mediation work. She offers individual and group coaching on mindfulness, compassionate communication, and mediation.  She is a volunteer mediator with the CSP Dispute Resolution Services.  She mentors those in prison who want to cultivate greater mindfulness, happiness, and peace within themselves and in their surrounding environments.  Currently, she serves as a Long Beach City Commissioner on the Citizen Police Complaint Commission.
